Portland Basketball + Integrity
Hey there, Corey with Envi Adventures. Every year about this time, the city of Portland, and the Pacific Northwest as a whole get excited about warmer weather, longer days, and outdoor activities. But, for many, they also get excited about Portland basketball i.e. the Portland Trailblazers. Whether they’re on the court at the Moda Center or away, or they’re not playing at all, Portland loves the Blazers. Portland is a city of loyalty. The Trailblazers haven’t won a championship since 1977, haven’t been to the Finals since Clyde Drexler and Terry Porter played against Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls during the 1991-1992 season. But in spite of that, the fan base remains as does the allegiance. As I write this, Portland prepares for a crucial home game in Portland against the Denver Nuggets. We’re turning one!
On Sunday April 1st, we will hit the one-year mark flying around Portland on private airplane tours and what a year it has been! We’ve met people from places like England, Germany, Australia, South Korea, and Denmark. We’ve hosted people from dozens of different states, and have completed nearly 280 flights so far! While that doesn’t seem like a lot, we’re quite pleased with the result seeing as many assumed we wouldn’t even get one. But, here we are, still here and still flying, and making that number get even higher! We’re excited for the next year with ideas on what to do next. We realize that when people come to Portland, they think of Portland-centric branded t-shirts and donuts, but we hope that we get added to that brainstorming on what to do in your travels. There are…

Hello again. Corey Rust here with Envi Adventures. Remember when you were a kid and time crawled. Especially when waiting for those exciting events like birthdays, Halloween or Christmas, school to get out. Then you grow up, you blink, and you completely miss it. Such is life. Here at Envi Adventures we’re looking back on our excellent first summer of flying around Portland, through the Columbia River Gorge, and past Mt. Hood. With the fires that ripped through the gorge at the beginning of September, we, along with everyone else, didn’t know what to expect in the aftermath. Remarkably and in spite of the imagery seen on the news, the gorge has some scars but is still pretty good looking! What a summer!
Corey Rust here for Envi Adventures. We have had an incredibly great summer flying so far. We’ve met some great people and have seen some really great stuff. Around here, we love flying no matter what time of year, but summer of course always makes for wonderful flights. As we continue towards the end of summer and into fall and winter, we need to remind you that we don’t stop just because the sun sets a little earlier. We’re Oregonians!
